Meet Our Staff
The work of an enterprise such as Roseville Home Start entails a great deal of individual attention to residents as well as extensive dealings with public agencies and others. In addition to the Executive Director there are 4 full-time employees, and a corps of dedicated volunteers.
Executive DirectorAnn has over 20 years of experience in association and non-profit management. She graduated from Taylor University in Indiana with a BA Degree in Pre-Law. Prior to joining Home Start, she served as Vice President of the Sacramento Valley Rental Housing Association. Ms. Engelbrecht has been with Home Start since 1999, providing leadership in all areas of organizational management. She also serves as a volunteer with various community organizations.
Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) & Clinical Services SupervisorKathy graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a BA Degree in Sociology/Psychology and completed her Master’s of Counseling Degree at the University of Phoenix. In 2013, Kathy completed her internship with Home Start and became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Kathy has worked in the non-profit sector since 2005, and specializes in domestic violence and sexual assault. She has also been certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Psychotherapy) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD. Kathy has worked at Home Start since 2009.
As a member of the Placer/Nevada County Continuum of Care, the Placer Consortium on Homelessness (PCOH), and the Placer Collaborative Network (PCN), Roseville Home Start maintains an ongoing liaison with other agencies, public and private, who are engaged in assisting those in need.
