About Roseville Home Start
Roseville Home Start, Inc. is a non-profit, 501 (C) (3) transitional housing corporation serving Placer County and beyond. We began as Project Home in 1986 and assisted with providing transitional housing in scattered sites to four families. In 1995, Project Home incorporated as Roseville Home Start and moved to a 30-unit former motel. In the early years, the effort was hampered by the onerous rent paid for the motel. Generous donors bought the property in December of 2001 and renovation of all residential space was completed in 2006. The remodeled administrative building was completed in the Fall of 2007. Today the facility has a Learning Center, child care room, on-site gym and 27 units housing homeless children and their families. Home Start’s oversight is provided by a Board of Directors composed of educators, clergy, and individuals from the corporate community. Candi Saari, CPA is contracted as the Financial Officer and an independent annual audit is conducted by Gallina LLP Certified Public Accountants.
